When I used to work on boats, we sometimes used a 50/50 mix of boiled linseed oil and turpentine, with some japan drier thrown in to help it dry. It was used mostly on work boat decks. Holds up well and easy recoat.
Make sure it is boil;ed linseed, raw linseed will never dry.
