I did one on my truck. I just put a hydraulic pump off my pto.Bought a valve, hydraulic motor and a bunch of fittings and hoses from Nothern Hydraulics. Made a bracket for the pump with a love-joy coupler to the winch, made a hydraulic reservoir and voila a hydraulic winch.
