If you really wanted to get fancy, you could make those out of stained glass, amber or red.
If it were me, I would contact a prototype shop around here in Detroit. They hand build cars and trucks all the time for the auto shows, some of which never make it to production. They make custom headlights and tail lights for those. Can be pricey though.
Speaking of bad plastic lenses though, is there a good product for polishing up old weathered plastic lenses that can make them look like new?
