PTO is back together! While I was waiting for a quote from the machine company, I purchase a used PTO and to my surprise it had an excellent idler shaft and gear, so I pulled the parts from the machine shop. There are 7 new images, click right. Don't use the Army manuals for assembling the PTO, they are not correct, I'll add images and text to the PIF.

I used a 1936 Chevy Coupe countershaft (WT184 3A) to align the reverse gear/bearings before driving in the reverse gear shaft, it fits snug you have to twist it back and forth some, but goes right in. When driving in the shaft put tension on the Chevy shaft. I also ran into different shaft sizes which present a major problem and I'll post those as well. For the idler gear/bearings I used a wood dowel 1 inch in size to hold the washer, gear, bearings and spacer in place when driving in the idler shaft. The 7/32 rivet fits great in the case. Now to pull the transmission and replace shafts and gears with new parts.
