The Dodge Boys will put a contract out on me, but if all else fails try installing an electric fuel pump close to the fuel tank. When your truck acts like it's out of fuel, turn on the electric fuel pump and it will probably run without problems. I have electric fuel booster pumps installed in my 1949 Power Wagon and in my 1967 Scout, for real time results that work great.
