The clutch should be totally disengage when the linkage hits the bolt. You can try putting a bolt with a 1/2 height head in that position to fine you a little more movement. I can’t remember if you can flip the lever arm on the clutch shaft or not. I don’t think so. The only other thing that could be an issue is if the throw out bearing is thinner than original.
