The fuel pump is a new NAPA when the engine was rebuilt a few year ago with few miles on it. The fuel pump worked fine with the auxiliary tank, that was located at a higher spot with a shorter line. I do have a Dodge Boys rebuild on the shelf. If the pump works for awhile (1/2-1 hour) then quits working. That could cause what I am seeing.
