I posted earlier that on my 54 it would start,run good on short runs but on longer ones it would act up,want to stall at stop signs,have to pump throttle to keep it running...shut it off and wouldnt start..my fuel filter was just like yours right off the carb and sometimes fuel would boil in glass bowl ..anyway my heat riser was stuck in winter position even though the pointer showed summer position..carb was just getting way to hot....
