Leaks internal normally produce an engine that runs hotter. Start your engine, take the radiator cap off and look for air bubbles, that indicates an internal coolant leak. AlumAseal work very well at sealing external leaks and that's probably all you need unless you want to pull the head and do a head repair. Idling rough can be carb. or low compression issues which could mean bad valves, piston or bad head gasket between cylinders.
