Third Day/ Iowa or Bust

Left Grand Junction this morning and it was a beautiful day for the drive towards Denver, the freeway runs alongside the Colorado river which was flowing with all the snow melt and lots of Vista stops for the Kodak moments and to let the wife see snow for the first time and make her first snowball.The summit was 10,000 feet and the Carryall handled it like a champ.
We stopped and had lunch in Georgetown an old mining town and talked with some locals who had just come from snow skiing that morning.
We pushed hard and finished driving around 7:30 pm stopping in North Platte , Nebraska for the night.
