The wife slept in late today, she’s recovering from knee replacement surgery a few months back, so it gave me a chance to get some fuel and get breakfast.I tallied the gas receipts from yesterday and the mpg was just under 14 and that was running hard most of the day at 2000 to 2150 rpm trying to stay alive with the people driving to Vegas, we also went from sea level to 4900 feet.
So today I told myself no rush I’ll keep it at 65, well as soon as we left St George the speed limit is 80 !
Driving through Utah is like driving through the Grand Canyon, the buttes and canyons are amazing with lots of view points to enjoy, so I was good most of the day and kept it at 65 and it goes without saying I got the “ Nice Willy’s “ today while fueling up in Grand Junction.
Anyhow mileage came in today at 17.6 , tomorrow we are hoping to get through Denver and head towards the plains
