IMHO, lots of good suggestions have been posted. If running a small, different test tank to eliminate that possibility, and checking the rubber hoses does not work, I noted what Keith in Washington said...you may not be able to see if the fuel filter element is clogged. My OEM ceramic filter in the glass bowl looked "ok", but what I was experiencing, vapor lock- like symptoms last summer when I was running hard on a hot day at altitude, was not the whole story. I thought it was all vapor lock, but the symptoms persisted at sea level and more normal temps - a fuel starvation-like situation while driving at speeds above idle when engine at operating temperature. After a lot of trial and error, and reading the archives, talking to experts here on Forum, etc. though, I put my ceramic filter in carb cleaner and the liquid turned brown from varnish that had clogged the "pores".
A new filter has returned the situation to normal.
