Obviously your not able to keep enough fuel in the carb. Did you replace the fuel line when you rebuilt the truck. Check all the joints and fitting in the gas line for leaks. Claire’s fittings can leak if not tight. Blow out the fuel line just to be sure nothing from the tank is partly blocking it. Check the rubber hose to steel line connection. Take it apart and check for any rubber debris. It is a common problem. Check the float valve, make sure debris is not plugging it. If you have a filter between the pump and carb remove the filter element and take it for a spin. You may not be able to see that the filter is plugged. If you suspect that any water has been in the system replace all filter elements. Water in an element can block gas from getting through. It adheres to the filter blocking it and you can’t see it.
