There is No difference between 6V & 12V condensers.
There is however slight Ohm difference between the two for higher energy type systems.
Will it work yes.
A condenser is a electrical accumulator, for a simple description.
Even in a 12V Ign. system the points still see 6 to 8V because of the ballast resistor or resistor type coil.
