Yep, those are the internals both masters have. I added an o-ring beside the flanged side of the rear seal which increased the outward pressure against the bore, as well as another seal that pressed against the lips of the front one to do the same. Everything in both seems completely kosher- no pits, tight clearances, all seals and piston were correct, as well as good spring pressure. I DO wonder if the "at rest" position has something to do with it, however. The pushrod is engaged around an inch, even with the rod adjustment at it's shortest. If not from residual pressure, maybe the front seal is already starting out past the fluid port from the reservoir, therefore there is fluid entering behind the front seal and being pushed past the back seal upon pedal return... never thunk of that one. Hmm. I'll fab up a shorter rod in a bit and see what happens. Greg, I'll gladly take your old CMC off your hands- just let me know how to get payment to you and how much it for shipping (by the way, the hydroboost setup still works A-1!). If all else fails, I'll look into the stainless-bored ones or grab one off something else and give it a go. Thanks for the replies, gents!
