My local mechanic has my 1970 W 300 up on blocks with all four wheels and hubs off. The truck has only 14,000 miles on it and shows minimal ware as it was a Fire Dept. brush truck. However it is leaking oil at both front knuckles and brake fluid at two wheel cylinders.
The door jamb ID tag and differentials identify both axles as being Spicer/Dana 70.
With much assistance from the local NAPA and Car Quest guys, as well as VPW and Torque King in Billings Montana I believe we have everything except the two big oil seals for the back axle.
The mechanic has not pulled them out of the hubs yet, but there are no numbers showing on the drum sides of the seals. They
measure 3" ID and 4 1/4" OD.
Does anybody here have a number or know where I might locate two replacement seals?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. JJB>
PS: I did find the 6 digit BOM (Bill of Material) number 603018 5 stamped on the axle tube, if that is required.
