I will provide more details and a full schedule for Joe to post on the Events Page, but here is an overview.

Dates are October 11-13. This year will be a little different, in that we have selected the remote Cheat Mountain Club in Cheat Bridge WV as headquarters for the rally. The decision was based on the availability of private rooms and proximity to the trails Mark Mengele has selected for us. The only downside is that we are limited to 23 guests at the lodge and we are about full.

For anyone who wants to attend the rally and doesn't get into the lodge, there are other options for lodging in Elkins WV about 40 miles north of the lodge. Elkins is a good choice for anyone coming from the east and west.

Friday morning Group A will leave my place in Morgantown WV. I have tons of space for anyone who wants to leave a trailer and tow vehicle. We will pass through Elkins on our way to Cheat Bridge and anyone not staying at the lodge (Group B) can meet up and settle there for the night. Group A will continue to the lodge for dinner Friday night.

Saturday morning, Group B will join us at Cheat Bridge WV. We will drive paved secondary roads and gravel US Forest Service roads all day long in WV and Southwestern VA. All hilly and all beautiful in the fall. We will head back north late in the day. Group A will return to the lodge for dinner and Group B will return to Elkins for dinner.

Sunday, some folks will head home in the morning. For those who want more adventure, we will have another day of road and trail rides and a scenic train ride along the Shavers Fork for anyone who wants. We will head north by late afternoon, passing through Elkins again to drop off any Group B members as Group A heads back to Morgantown.

All in all, we will drive 400-500 miles of beautiful country with plenty of stops for scenery, history, beverages, road repairs, etc. I will provide maps and meeting times and we will look out for each other as best we can. Somebody always breaks down and the group always gets them back on the road or worse case scenario, on a trailer.

On Monday some diehards will get together at my farm in Southwestern PA to reminisce and plan future adventures.

Other lodging options include;
- Cass Scenic Railroad State Park - Guest houses 40 miles from the CMC
- Pocahontas County Convention and Visitor Bureau - Bed and breakfasts, houses, hotels, etc.

Check out the video "Stewards of Shavers Fork" online to see the story of the restoration of this beautiful native trout stream that runs right behind the lodge.
