Sorry, this is a little off topic, but it is a mopar 340 motor I'm talking about. Just rebuilt the whole motor stroked to a 416, J heads and put Comp roller lifters and rockers on it. The valve train seems a bit noisy for my liking. Lifters are adjusted to zero lash plus 1/2 turn preload. Tried more preload but didn't help the noise. Is this normal, all the blogs I've read say roller lifters and rockers make noise like a sewing machine, some say they shouldn't make any noise. Any of you experts know if this is normal. My machine shop doesn't return calls, so I guess I'll have to track him down. I wish he had told me rollers make a lot of noise and I wouldn't have used them.
