I run into this problem often at work. My new simple method is to use PVC pipe to make all of the bends, then use a short straight piece of hose to connect the end of the PVC to the radiator or engine outlet.
Its really easy to use a heat gun to mold the pipe into shape, or You can glue 45 degree fittings to form the shape you want.
One time I needed all the hoses for a 318 Chrysler boat engine, and the hose kit was more than $350. I made the PVC setu up for less than $40, and it is still working today after 20 years.
