My '49 FF needs front springs. Never having installed leaf springs I've read through the forum archives and whatever else is available on the web. Is it worth buying a set and trying a DIY with just a floor jack and jack stands? Or is it a job better left to the shop. When I last contacted Gitts they quoted me $1000 for front springs/installation and additional for an alignment.
