I used a John deere 420 with 60 inch deck for many years until the onan threw a rod it had separate brakes power steering and track loc I put it on ebay for a grand and had many emails some people repower them with a kit with Honda motor it sold fast. Then I bought a used john deere X500with 120 hours for $3500 down by Pittsburgh it has trac lock and a 54 inch deck I can mow faster and do a nicer job with this one it has a Kow air cooled engine with lots of power for deep grass and wide tires nice little mower
