It is the times we live in,people are just plan unhappy and the slightest thing seems to get the best of us annoyed and upset.
I don't know how long this trend will last but it is truely getting to everyone in some form or another. Folks seem to have a drive to gain stuff without a real future goal and this lack of direction makes them unhappy. Since 9/11, it has really gotten worse as folks lost the safe in America dream and are now facing a truely uncertain future. When its hard to dream and plan and feel safe all at once, people tend to become confused and irratable. It was easy to fly the flag and sing ,God bless America at first but now we face the possibility of never having that safety blanket again. We don't need to turn our frustrations inward or even outward. Those who are strong must bear with the weak when they do and say things that offend us and understand this might just be their source of relief in these stressful times.
Our enemies would like nothing more than to see us turn on each other in our everyday lives,at work and even in the things like PWs that bring us all pleasure.
Don't be So offended or take it personal when someone complains, from his point of view and frustration, he has a legetimate grip to vent. The greater intelligence is always wrong, if its not used to avoid an argument, and it does take two to argue.
We tend to speak off the top of our heads and reply much too quickly and this lack of thought before we speak leads us to say things and in such a way as to come off really obnoxious or hateful which causes a simular retort. Had no one retorted to this guys remark, it would still be hanging by itself, alone ,unanswered and he would have gotten no satisfaction except to vent his frustration which might have kept him from possibly going postal at work or home.
I really can't believe I;m talking this way, I must be getting old.
