I saw it when it arrived in Hartlepool (N.E. England)at Jon Kerr's place from Geoff Teece in Manchester, in p/ex for a nice 1/2 ton Carryall.

It's a nice truck, and the only problem he had with it was the front diff. I traded him a spare 1/2 ton front axle (that came on my VC1 chassis) which I assume he has swapped the differential into it from.

1/2 and 3/4 ton WC Commands are very popular in the UK and can sell from USD 10k equivalent up to USD 18k, depending on condition.

I'm not sure of the technicalities of re-importing it to the US, as the majority of the British stuff was either bought by the British Army or sold off as surplus by the US Army in Britain post WW2. Either way it wouldn't be classed as war aid / defense aid / military assistance programme but I'm not sure how you'd prove it.

It so happens that my 3/4 ton WC 56 was sold off by the British Supply Ministry and I have the original paerwork for it, but the WC 53 was MAP aid to Norway and technically not re-importable to the US.
