Hay man the 318 takes full throttle starts to get going so it gets about the same mileage as a 440. Why not swap in a 360. But since you asked about the 318 I would put on some headers, a K&N air filter, free-flow exaust system, look at changing the ignition system with one from Jason or MSD ignition.
