I've seen it done on a '59 W300 w/9ft utiline bed. They used a Monarch electro hydraulic pump (basicly a starter motor hooked to a hydraulic pump) unit in the cab, ran lines back to a cylinder attached near the middle of the bed. Power up, gravity down. They just made a hinge on the rear crossmember and attached the bed. They also had valveage and large enough resivor to run a snowplow set up in the front.
