First tell us where you got the info that says the engine is a 450 hemi? In the past, I've asked a few old Mopar nuts about the old hemis and they said the largest made was the 392 in the late 50s. The later and new generation hemi was a 426 which I guess might become a 450 if rebuilt to its next oversize. Maybe you have a punched out 392 or some rare oddball truck or marine engine that maybe chrysler tried for a year or two and then abandoned. Rare is only valuble if someone wants it. Being that rare would make it virtually impossible to find any parts for it. As you said, it maynot be a chrysler engine at all. Chrysler put Perkins deisel engines in its larger trucks years back so search every nook and cranny for plates and #s that might give a better clue as to who made it.
