I figured for a 251 engine that the piston speed at 5000 rpm is about 3750.
I've heard of a story about a guy back in the 1950s who was drag racing flat head six Mopars and he claimed to do 5,000 to 5,500 RPM on them for the 1/4 mile. Seems doable now with the math behind it.
Mopar did run them to 3600 RPM for engine data, HP and Torque figures.
