ok thanks. i have seen on the later trucks the shock mount is separate piece. I think what I will do is have 10.5" made for the different rear set ups and cut to needed lengths and have 8.5 inch for fronts and rears on early trucks and those can be trimmed down to 7.5" and 8" for various front set ups. I will pick up a chamfering tool so threads are nice and easy to start nut.
