Go for it. If the new one actually is "7 times" better than the original, how can you lose? I notice they are now using single ply rolls. When I first started buying them they recommended 2 ply, 500 sheet paper. Then it was pretty easy to find. As time passed it was not so easy.
What sold me originally was the test machine a friend had. He added a tablespoon of graphite to clear oil which made the oil black. After circulating for only a few minutes the oil was already clearing up.
