I purchased a fan belt using the PIF and it was too wide for the pulleys in my truck. Most of the PIF belts say 3/4 wide. My truck had a car engine when i bought it and I used the fan, crank and generator that were on that engine. It turns out the belt that was on the truck was a more narrow belt (one parts guy called it fractional horsepower belt)from a piece of machinery. I finally found the correct fit belt,gate 5708 that has a .41 width. Do the trucks all have a wider grove in their pulleys? I am surprised i have bnot noticed or run across this with the varios spare parts i have accumulated.
