If those chained tires ever dig down, the unchained tires will really be loaded and will get much better traction. But don't count out the chained tires yet just because they all may be spinning. Even though the unchained tires will keep the chained ones from digging down deeper, the chained ones will still be able to claw in two directions, forward and back.
It was amazing some of the places those trucks were going without getting stuck. Of course, the weight they were carrying didn't hurt either!
We had over 30-inches of snow in January. Then it got warm and about all of it melted in one day. Now, it's coming again.
