In the 1980s the New jersey State police acquired a few LPG powered pursuit vehicles. During routine patrol the vehicle needed to be fueled twice during an 8 hour shift. But the gas powered pursuit vehicles only needed to be fueled one time. They performed well but not as good as gas powered vehicles. If there was a lot of pursuit driving a vehicle would have to be fueled twice during an 8 hour shift. No opinion just first hand knowledge. PLus there were limited places where lPG fuel was available.
