Yeah, the more I think about it, a straight pull backwards would have probably submerged the engine bay of the truck further into the creek. Probably hydro lock the engine then.
I think the ground being muddy helped slide the truck back onto the trail.
I’m still surprised those wonderful “c” clips held those axles in place on that Chevy.
