Very true, I think every generation works their way through these stages, it's just life.
I will add that we don't teach any more either. Those kids didn't know how to properly tow the vehicle because that's not what they were taught, they were given enough info to do what they needed and sent off. You probably don't want them trying to figure it out on your vehicle, and they can easily get fired if they do it wrong and damage the vehicle, so hard to blame them for lack of training from the people that have that experience.
The Dodge Boys probably started by learning alongside their dad or some other mentor and learned on the job. Now they're probably not likely to hire anyone who's not ASE certified after taking on $20K worth of student loans and another $20K worth of tools and then wondering why they want $50K/year.
