If you decide to go electric, do a search in Phil's Archives for Kaegi Carter electric fuel pump. Steve provided a link to a unit sold by Jeg's, which he said is one of the best. It can put out like 50 gph, so obviously more than enough for our rigs, at something like 5 - 7psi, but I don't think there's any problem with that.

I ordered one and am planning to use it in my 265 flathead build. I probably would consider using a mechanical pump, but the Langdon's cast iron headers come so close to the block that there's no room for a mechanical pump, and I'm ok with that. When I had a stock 230 in the truck, I ran it for many years with a NAPA electric pump with no trouble.

Having said all this, I agree with the others that you should try to fix the root problem....but I can't throw any stones since the reason I ran an electric pump on my 230 was because I didn't fix my root problem, either, which was vapor lock.
