Vaughn, I couldn't sleep without solving this. It ended up being that the throwout bearing shaft was bent slightly and that's all it took to make it rub on the pedal mount. Gave it a little tweak and checked it all around and it's clearing the mount now, still close but clearing it. I could not have done it without your help and pictures since I never saw it together originally. Thanks again for everything. I'm sure I'll be reaching out again on the next challenge!
