When I restored my model 36, I found that the original paint was kind of a golden bronze hammer tone color. Todd Somers covers this in his color chart on t137.com.
I found a Honda touch up paint at the local auto store that matched. It was not hammer tone, but my heater had just enough rust pits that it looks like hammer tone after I painted it.
