It's mostly for fun. I've wanted to build one for 25 years, and finally got around to it. But there have been times recently when I wanted more carrying capacity than the 8ft bed, flathead engine, and old style brakes provided. We often take the truck and trailer into the mountains to get loads of firewood. This truck will make that much easier and safer to do.
