Sounds like timing cover seal at the crank pulley.
Could have also blown out the gasket between cover and oil pan or block.

Check to make sure your PCV valve below the carb. is clean and not blocked.

Also unscrew it from the manifold and make sure the pipe into the manifold is open.
They like to clog up with carbon and oil sludge.

A blocked PVC system will allow crankcase pressure to build and blow out oil where I mentioned and other places.
