What is it actually? The body is mostly 100/200

Is it a W300 with 100/200 front clip and bed? That would mean the frame was shortened to a 122" wheel base from 133" to accommodate the bed. Or is it different axles under a standard 100/200? The seller claims the bed is 9' long, but it looks like an 8' bed to me. I'd want to see a measurement.

The only thing I can see that dates the truck for sure is the 1962 only gauge cluster. The orange and teal original colors under the red paint show that the cab is from one truck and the doors, front clip, and bed are from another truck.

Based on how the body sits on the frame and how the bumper is above the winch frame extensions I'm going to guess this is a shortened W300 with 100/200 body parts, but more information is needed to say for sure.

Anyone looking to buy this should get a picture of the frame number and serial number tags on the driver rear door jamb. If those match and are from a 1962 W300 then the orange cab is likely original to the chassis. Then I'd want to see where the frame was modified. Was it cut and welded or were the rear axle spring shackles moved forward?

As long as any buyer knows what they're getting it looks like a neat truck, but it absolutely is not an original Fargo W300 pickup regardless of the claims made by the seller.

If anyone gets more information on it I'd like to know what it actually is.

Eric
