Thanks, Vaughn. I've heard and read of people using shim stock under bearings, but was never sure if it was a legitimate way of setting clearance, or a long-term way of doing it (meaning, a good way to achieve good longevity for the engine). Of course, with my situation, I have taper and out-of-round, which I don't think can be solved by shim stock. Let me know if you think otherwise.
