You need about 50-75 more HP to be comparable in performance to the 5.83 gearing. At 2500 rpm, and 35 inch tires, 4.30 gearing, you'll be cruising at 61mph. With a 230 CID, you'll be slower to accelerate, and use significantly more throttle to cruise above 40 mph. Due to the increase in load from weight of the truck, tire size, and the gearing, the amount of increased work the engine will have to do, you might experience burning of exhaust valves as a result, and may have to go to sodium exhaust valves.
I say this because I had a 48 jeep truck with a 134 CID engine, and added an OD at 25%, had to use more throttle to get a few more MPH and that is what I experienced.
