We have a couple of them, one in the 6hp variety on our log splitter and one as a replacement on a 2.5" trash pump. They have been good running engines and the only trouble has been rust in the fuel from the unlined fuel tanks.

We put the little one on the log splitter last year because the briggs had low compression and just would not start without putting some heat to it. The predator fires with part choke and only a couple pulls. before you even put oil in it, take off the fuel tank and coat the inside with some kind of fuel tank liner or it will be full of rust on day 2.

I have a couple of the Chonda engines as well, they are such a good copy that genuine Honda parts fit. I have a Honda pull start, carb, and fuel tank on our old pump. First thing that went on it was the fuel tank, then followed by the ignition coil which wasn't the coil, just crap material on the wires that cracked and peeled off letting it ground out.
