On the 1968s the brake master cylinder sits behind the brake pedal pivot. This one is ahead of it. My guess is that it's not really a 1968 frame, or something strange is going on. Only way to know for sure is check the serial number.

It does appear to be a post-1960 truck judging by the radiator support bracket. Which means that the motor mount that is just sitting there is for a 251 engine, which someone else was looking for. They are super hard to find....
