An easy problem to solve. Place a 2 foot long 3/4 to 1 inch thick board under the center line of the spare tire mount. Leave the end of the board sticking over the edge of the running board. Place spare tire & wheel on top of the board. Place washer plate on the stud and snug up finger tight. Lift the end of the board slightly and tighten nut to hold spare in place. Remove board and firmly tighten nut.
