Ground the motor. You're probably just measuring leakage. Motor insulation is rarely 100% perfect. If you want to be sure you won't get sparks, use an ohm-meter on a low range to check for a dead short between motor frame and the various winding terminals. But if it was me, I'd just go ahead and ground it and plug it back in. Most likely everything will be fine.
Not sure if you're asking how to reverse it or not, but that's usually done on a single-phase motor by reversing the starting winding while keeping the running winding the same. Having it wrong (briefly) will do no harm.
