This was a Harbor Freight Floor jack. Now it has been good to me I have used it for close to 25 years or more but when it ate my hand dropping on it when I rolled the tranny forward using the front axle on it will be retired. It was acting weird today all of a sudden it would start going down when all the way up? When I was ready to put the first bolt in the housing to the block it started to drop again? So I grabbed my 20 ton bottle jack and put it under the jack to keep it up. I was getting tired at this point and just wanted to put 4 bolts in so I could quit and eat lunch. It was up in the air and ready to bolt on the block. Well it needed to come forward 3/4 of a inch more. Not sure why but laying in front of the jack under the engine I grabbed the bottle jack and jerked on it to pull it forward! The bottle jack flew out of there and smacked me right in the head! Man did I cuss I had to stick it back it and once more to hold it up. I felt blood running down my face and a big bump forming fast. Still got those bolts in and broke for lunch. Went to the back door and told the wife now don't freak out it looks worse then it is! She said what happen and she fixed me up once more. That poor girl sure loves me!
