Grew up not far from the Beth Steel plant at Sparrows Point Maryland. At one time it was the largest steel mill in the world; had over 40,000 people working there. Everything is gone now and warehouses for Amazon and the like are being built to handle the Chinese stuff we import.
Got several shipping jobs out off their Key Highway repair yard in Baltimore Harbor; that's now condos. Sad what has happened to our industrial base.
