Looks like a good fit. I did the same put everything together for fitting, then take apart for paint. I had a local sawmill cut to length and mill the edges down for the strips per my specifications they were busy but took time to get it done and the price was good. I drilled the holes in the wood for the bolts from the underside and used a forstner bit from harbor freight to counter sink the holes for the washers.All worked out good
