Fuse in headlight switch?

My carryall has a fuse built into its headlight switch. The fuse gets hot enough to burn your fingers when the lights are on. Figuring maybe I had too small of a fuse, I tried to look it up in the military manual. No luck. Then I thought, maybe this is not stock?

Do you guys have fuses in your headlight switch? Is this a stock thing? If so what size should it be?
